For Blessed Saturday Morning, Pause and Reflect for A Moment
MakeBeliefs 2 Help U Smile & Lift Your Spirits
Here’s the latest installment in our Make Beliefs Series created to provide comfort and hope to young and old who are feeling distressed and anxious in our too fast-changing and sometimes unforgiving world. It’s our way of making things better by helping you imagine! I created these MakeBeliefs to find hope. If you find value in the MakeBeliefs project, please share this newsletter with someone you care about.
I saw this beautiful drawing some time ago (I think in the wonderful The Marginalian ideas blog) and it made me stop what I was doing and stay with the drawing for a while. There was something about the beautiful colors, the color of the woman, her dress, the exquisite flowers she is shown holding – she was like a phantom floating in my consciousness and I began to wonder about her, trying to imagine who she was or is. Could she be the bearer of good tidings? Or, is she just some fantasy of the artist – the incarnation of beauty? I don’t know who she is, but perhaps you have some ideas. At the very least, before you try our weekly The Doodler below, gaze at the drawing as a way to help celebrate Saturday morning.
We Start the Doodle
and You Finish the Doodle
in the Space Below!
Everyone loves to doodle, whether while we’re on the phone, or just taking a timeout, or making squiggles as we try to come up with new ideas. Our newMakeBeliefsComix Doodler gives you a start with art from Tom Bloom and then it’s your turn to finish the drawing and make it your own in the rectangular space.
We hope you’ll print the template and take your best pen or crayon to complete the picture.
If you like, snap a picture of your masterpiece and share it on Instagram and tag @makebeliefcomix so that we can see your art! We’ll share your work on our account all week. Please let us know what you think of this new feature. Did it make your day more fun? Share your doodles with us; send to billz@makebeliefscomix.com
